THE LIFE OF GEORGIA

The full text of the History of Georgia written by Parsadan Gorgijanidze - the Georgian historian of the 17th century living in Safavid Persia – is published for the first time. The observations of predecessors on the above-mentioned text have been taken into consideration. Some pages of the history of Georgia have been presented from a new perspective.
Along with some other issues, attention has been drawn to the date of Bagrat V's death as well as the possibility of a different understanding of the relations of Tamar with her aunt.
