Man and Era – Raphiel Eristavi – 200

In April 2024, the 200th anniversary of the birth of Raphiel Eristavi, the outstanding Georgian patriot and
statesman, will be celebrated. In connection with the anniversary date, scientific conference, several publications
and anniversary events are being prepared within the project – „Man and Era – Raphiel Eristavi – 200“.
The project has a scientific, educational, cultural-cognitive purpose, and its main goal is to understand and
present the celebrant’s long-term work, his national, scientific and public merits in a new way. The publication
„Raphiel Eristavi – 200“ is part of this project and was prepared as a result of institutional and interdisciplinary
cooperation – Tamaz Beradze Institute of Georgian Studies of the University of Georgia, Giorgi Leonidze State
Museum of Georgian Literature, National Parliamentary Library of Georgia, Korneli Kekelidze National Center
of Georgian Manuscripts, Rafiel Eristavi House Museum.
